Getting through the roller coaster ride of life

Holidays

I was walking through the store not even past Halloween and there were already Christmas display’s everywhere. Walking down the Christmas section, there were rows of trees all different sizes, shapes, and colors. Some with fancy fiber optic lighting. The prices of the trees alone was simply crazy.

The vast rows of ornaments, garlands, fancy wrapping papers, bows and Christmas tree toppers are splayed down aisle after aisle.

I was around in astonishment as to how everything is commercialized and so expensive.

Continuing to walk around, I could hear people conversating, if you want to call it that, chatting up what they want for Christmas, and how many presents they expect this year. Kids running around grabbing toys showing their parents what they want, of course not knowing at there young age just how much those toys cost.

It’s sad how Christmas has become so much about presents, trinkets, and fancy decorations and less about family, friends, or those in need.

What happened Christmas? Where have you gone?
